PLANO, TX — (June 6, 2016) — The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) have released their latest Hospital Compare star ratings of the nation’s 3,544 hospitals and health care facilities and The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano and The Heart Hospital Baylor Denton each received five star ratings for “Patients’ Experiences” – the highest score possible. Ratings are based on data from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems Survey (HCAHPS) measures included in Hospital Compare.
The two hospitals are the only two health care facilities within Baylor Scott & White Health care system to earn the coveted five star rating for “Patients’ Experiences.” Additionally, each hospital is the only hospital in its respective market to earn the highest rating possible. Of the nation’s 3,544 hospitals and health care facilities evaluated in the latest CMS Hospital Compare analysis, The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano and The Heart Hospital Baylor Denton are two of only 168 entities that received five star ratings, ranking both hospitals in the top five percent in the United States.
