We are proud to announce The Heart Hospital Baylor Denton has been awarded the highest possible rating, the Overall Hospital Quality Rating, in the latest Medicare Overall Hospital Star Rating Program report, released in December 2017.
The CMS Hospital Compare website reports on quality measures for more than 4,000 hospitals around the country. These ratings are based on quality measures across seven areas of performance: mortality, safety of care, readmission, patient experience, effectiveness of care, timeliness of care, and the efficient use of medical imaging. By earning five stars, The Heart Hospital is rated in the top eight percent nationally for overall quality.
The Heart Hospital Baylor Denton is among a very select group of hospitals across the United States to consistently receive the highest ratings possible for both the Medicare Overall Hospital Star Rating Program and The Society of Thoracic Surgeons Adult Cardiac Surgery Star Rating Program, according to David J. Ballard, MD, MSPH, PhD, FACP and chief quality officer for Baylor Scott & White Health. "These ratings are consistent with the evolving national and international reputation of The Heart Hospital Baylor Denton as an organization that sets the global standard in exceptional adult cardiovascular care," said Dr. Ballard.
